CFP: Women in Religion


AAR-SW Friends,

Dr. Julie Chappell is organizing a Special Session for the 2018 South Central Modern Language Association meeting in San Antonio, Texas, 11-14 October 2018. She is requesting two more panelists to join her panel on the diverse ways that women participate in western and/or non-western religious practices across times and cultures. Interested participants should send a 150 word abstract via email to Dr. Chappell at [email protected] by February 15. Below is the full CFP.


I am organizing a Special Session for the 2018 South Central Modern Language Association meeting to be held in San Antonio, Texas, 11-14 October 2018. I am hoping to find two more papers to fill this Special Session panel.

Papers for this panel will illustrate the diverse ways that women have found to participate in western and/or non-western religious practices across time and cultures.

Please send abstracts of no more than 150 words to [email protected] no later than 15 February. Please include your name, academic affiliation, rank, email address, and paper title. All those who submit will be contacted about the status of their submission no later than 20 February.
