SWCRS Recap: TAK Student Papers

The 2017 Theta Alpha Kappa session SWCRS featured three excellent undergraduate presentations this year. An engaged audience heard Jaclyn T. Barber’s paper, “Towards a Universal Theocentrism: A Critical Analysis of Gordon Kaufman’s Theology” (TCU); Mary Kathryn Cook’s “Ezekiel Through a Native American Lens” (SEU); and Christopher Walker’s “Sarah and Abraham in Gerar: Revisiting the Moral Dimension of Genesis 20” (SEU). Every year, this section provides a venue for our TAK scholars to showcase their exceptional projects, and this year was no different. These three TAK students impressed us with their scholarship in theology, biblical studies and literary studies, and stimulated robust conversation even at the very end of the conference! I look forward to receiving more excellent proposals for the 2018 TAK session at SWCRS.
