The Central Texas Colloquium on Religion has announced their conference schedule, available here. This year’s conference will be held at the Seminary of the Southwest on February 25, 2017. Regional scholars are invited to attend free of charge.

Dr. Stephen B. Reid

“Reframing King’s Dream: Rethinking the Theological Method”

Dr. Stephen B. Reid is a Professor of Christian Scriptures at Baylor University’s George W. Truett Theological Seminary. He is the author or editor of such books as, Experience and Traditions: A Primer in Black Biblical Hermeneutics (Abingdon 1991), Listening In: A Multicultural Reading of the Psalms (Abingdon, 1997), Prophets and Paradigms: Essays in Honor of Gene M. Tucker (Sheffield Academic Press, 1996) and Psalms and Practice: Worship, Virtue and Authority (Liturgical Press, 2001). He is currently preparing a second revised and updated edition of Uncovering Racism (first edition, Brethren Press, 2000) with his coauthor and wife Kathryn Reid.
