CFP – Encyclopedia of Racial Violence


Graduate students, faculty and other practitioners in relevant humanities and social science fields are invited to submit entries for the tentatively titled “Encyclopedia of Racial Violence in America.” If interested, please contact Douglas Flowe ([email protected]) to inquire about the list of essay topics still available before DECEMBER 1, 2017. We will respond to requests as quickly as possible. Prospective writers can choose their perferred topic/s from the list (writers are encouraged to choose mulitiple essays if possible), and completed essays will be expected by the end of MARCH 1, 2018Please include a C.V. with inquiries.

This textbook/encyclopedia project is being published by Greenwood Press through ABC-CLIO, and will be edited by Douglas J. Flowe, Ph.D. (Assistant Professor of History at Washington University in St. Louisand Sowande M. Mustakeem, Ph.D. (Assistant Professor of History and African and African American Studies at Washington University in St. Louis).

Deadline for inquiries: DECEMBER 1, 2017  (inquiries encouraged as soon as possible for maximum writing time).
