AAR-SW Friends,
Editor Jonathan K. Zartman is seeking authors to contribute entry-level articles on the Middle East and North Africa after the Arab Spring for a forthcoming Encyclopedia of Civil War, Revolutions, and Regime Change. Anyone interested in contributing to the project should email Dr. Zartman at [email protected]. The anticipated deadline for entire is July 1, 2018. Below is the full CFP.
Dear Scholars and Colleagues,
I am editing a book designed primarily for undergraduates to get a basic understanding of the Middle East and North Africa after the Arab Spring. I invite you to contribute your writing to this book. Entries will cover the significant personalities, political movements, ideologies, events, social and political forces, and competing perspectives across 22 countries. While covering the 2011 protests, and the developments ensuing, the entries will enable the reader to develop a forward-looking vision for the region. The publisher will send writers who contribute entries totaling 4,000 words a complimentary copy of the published volume. All contributors get access to the e-version of the encyclopedia. This is a great way to get started in the research and publication game, if you are new to it. It is also a way to get recognition for your understanding of war across the full spectrum of conflict.
If you would like to contribute to this volume, please send me an e-mail at my personal e-mail address: jkzartman at yahoo.com. I will send you a list of the remaining topics and the publisher’s guidelines. The deadline for completed assigned entries will be July 1, 2018. Early submissions gladly accepted. Of course, if you have questions, please let me know. Feel free to forward this to colleagues with interest in these subjects.
Best regards, Jonathan
