Join us Friday evening 7:00-9:30 pm at SWCRS for an AAR Film Screening of Silence.
Silence is still in theaters, but AAR-SW has obtained permissions from Paramount Pictures for a special screening and discussion at our SWCRS meeting.
There are two film adaptations (one in Japanese, one in English) of the 1966 novel Silence by Japanese Roman Catholic writer Shusaku Endo about Portuguese Jesuit missionaries to Western Japan. We will gather to view the more recent English-language adaptation by Martin Scorsese, now in theatres.
